Really? Another Little House on Wheels Adventure?

Hope Travels 2023  ~  The West Coast RV Adventure

So Mom and I were talking the other day, and she told me that I might not believe it, but we were going to go on another trip in “a little house on wheels.” Mom and I communicate pretty well, but sometimes I miss something. I was pretty sure this was one of those times, because I couldn’t believe it!! It was too good to be true!!

Mom had been gathering things for days, and every day she put something else of mine in the pile, so I was pretty sure that whatever was happening, I’d get to go too. But still, I was nervous…and not sure if it’s even happening. You can’t even begin to imagine my excitement when Mom and Dad took me outside a couple of days later, and there was a little house on wheels parked in front of our house! Yippee! We really ARE going on another RV Adventure!

Mom said this trip is going to be twice as long as our first trip, and it’s going to take a while to pack up. Granny and a friend came over to help. But while they were packing, believe me, I didn’t let them out of my sight. But finally, the day came yesterday, and we did the final loading. Granny was there again to help and to see us off. She and Gramps used to go on trailer trips, so she knows how exciting they are.

Yesterday we pulled away from Casa de Mayo (that’s what Mom calls our home) and headed out in our little house on wheels. We drove through some cloudy and rainy weather, but Dad did really well driving the RV.  I have the best seat in the little house on wheels again.

The best part was a side trip we took through Palo Duro Canyon. It was really pretty, and Mom let me put my head out the window while she was taking pictures.

We spent the night in Amarillo. Our campground was right next to a train track, and the trains ran and blew their whistles all night long. There was also a funky odor that Mom called Eau de Amarillo. That’s not a good thing, in case you were wondering. The good news is that we can only go up from here though! Stay tuned for more about our West Coast RV Adventure!
