Take Me to Texas ~ West Coast RV Adventure 2023 ~ Day 32-34 and Home!

Well, by now, you’ve figured out that we’ve been home for over five weeks. Mom and I just had soooo much to do when we got home that we’ve been a bit slow finishing up telling you about the end of our trip. So here goes… We were up and at ‘em this morning cuz Dad said we had a ways to go today. We headed south through Utah and the ground started turning rocky, red and desert like again. We went along the border of Moab National Park. Mom said it was a teaser preview of one of our future Great RV Adventures. Your guess is as good as mine as to when we’ll take that trip, but I’ll be sure to let you know when we do. Anyway, it made for some pretty scenery.    As we got closer to and entered Colorado, it was as if we were on two different trips. Out the right window were the red rock formations, and out the left window was a beautiful view of snowcapped rugged mountains. It was crazy! Memories ~ West Coast RV Adventure 2023 ~ Day 30 & 31

Mom and Dad took showers this morning. That always makes for a great start to the day! We left Meridian today and headed to Twin Falls, Idaho. Just outside the city, they had an overlook where we could see a big gorge with the Snake River running through it. There was a nice golf course that Dad said he’d like to play.       Then we stopped to have lunch with Ila Mae. Ila is a woman who has known Dad since before he was born. She’s one of Granny’s best lifelong friends. We had fun talking about memories and catching up with one another. She enjoyed getting to go out to lunch too. She’s 93, but she looks and moves really well!  She used to have a dachshund, and she kept saying she could keep me. She seems really nice, but I don’t think Mom and Dad would let that happen.    We continued driving through Idaho’s farmland. Mom and Dad said some of it looked like California. They’ve been listening to another audiobook. It’s called “Daisy Jones and the Six.” ...
